Add a touch of mid-century cocktail glamour to your collection with this stunning Metallic Floral Brocade Ring Hat with Birdcage Veil ring hat (also known as a halo or percher hat)! Dating from the late 1950s to the early 1960s, this piece features a shimmering metallic floral brocade in shades of gold, copper, and brown. This is a true \"whimsy\" style designed to sit elegantly atop the head. It is secured by a structured ring base, making it easy to pin into any hairstyle. Key Features: * Authentic Provenance: Includes the original black-and-white ILGWU (International Ladies\' Garment Workers\' Union) \"Union Made\" label, dating it to approximately 1955–1963. * Fabric: Rich, heavy-weight metallic tapestry brocade with a beautiful sheen. * Detailing: Includes the original fine mesh birdcage veil (note: one small, minor hole in the netting, typical of its age and barely visible when worn). * Size: Standard vintage \"one size\" ring hat (approx. 7 inches in diameter). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The brocade fabric is crisp and bright with no fading. The structure is firm. The veil is original and remains soft (not brittle), though there is one small pin-sized hole in the mesh. Perfect for: * Vintage enthusiasts and collectors * \"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel\" or \"Mad Men\" inspired styling * Cocktail parties, weddings, or theater costumes Details: VTG 1950s-60s OSFM Circumference Crown Made in USA Smoke free home Fast Shipper!
