A handsome offering of a vintage, mid-century hat. In black, it is certainly versatile yet has elements that place it a step above--appropriate for fine occasions. Starting with the fabric of the hat--which has a grid of tiny \"bumps\". The topper has a thin blush tone satin band that circles the transition from downturned brim to crown. The highlight, though, is the black satin tab at the curved front edge that anchors a horseshoe shape decoration of clear, prong set rhinestones on a gold tone mount. A chin length black veil completes the look (see condition report below.) This carries a Marshall Field & Company label. Size: 4\" tall; 6 1/2\" across crown; 21 1/2\" inner band circumference Condition: good vintage, no holes no stains in the hat. Note--there is a tear in the veil on the left near the ear--would not be evident should veil be worn up against the hat and not pulled taut. Price: $42 #12434bb
